Three years after releasing Zulu Vol.1: De Onde Eu Possa Alcançar o Céu Sem Deixar o Chão (From Where I Can Reach the Sky Without Leaving the Ground), the rapper Zudizilla from Pelotas (RS) is back with Zulu Vol. 2: De Cesar a Cristo (From Cesar to Christ), his new album release, available on the major digital platforms on March 15th, 2022.

The artist produced the album of 12 tracks together with selected beatmakers and features such as Emicida, Coruja BC1, and Joabe Reis. Some of the songs are also in the short film Vozes do Silencio (Voices of Silence) original soundtrack. As an intrinsic part of the album, the film's release on March 14th starts the works for the arrival of the album.

The musical content of Zulu Vol.2 also traverses this theme, but from here, starting from his pen. Zudizilla presents his past experiences as significant accounts of his livingness as a black man. The composer also projects dreams and futures in other songs of the new album, orienting his gaze toward new revolutions and affections. "Thinking about the timeline of the saga, volume 1 dealt with a doubt [from] a non-place. Volume 2 speaks of those who have gotten to a place, but this place is still not enough to remedy all the problems around them. All of my relationships reflect that, and I describe each one of them in the course of the album," says the rapper.

Zulu Vol.2 transports the listener to the streets of Pelotas and other territories. Places that marked the situations that are narrated and set to music in the album. He says that "half of the album came from the south with me, and so will the end of this modern opera, in a manner of speaking. I designed The Zulu saga to have three well-defined acts from the beginning. It's a hero saga, seen in comic books and action cartoons. But I present the main character as being a black man from Rio Grande do Sul in search of a place (Zulu vol 1) and in any way possible (Zulu vol 2)".

Among the aesthetic references that guided Zudizilla in the conception of this album, the artist points out Don L, Racionais, Emicida, Kendrick Lamar, Jack Kerouac, and Lima Barreto.
